atliekų naudojimas statusas Aprobuotas sritis karo inžinerija apibrėžtis Atliekų tvarkymas, kai atliekas sudarančios medžiagos ne šalinamos, o iš jų gaunami tam tikri produktai, duodantys potencialią ekonominę ar ekologinę naudą. Atliekų naudojimas daugiausia apima šiuos procesus: 1) medžiagų atgavimą, t. y. perdirbimą; 2) energijos atgavimą, t. y. pakartotinį naudojimą kurui; 3) biologinį naudojimą, pvz., kompostavimą; 4) pakartotinį naudojimą.
